We invite you to submit your research for presentation in Albuquerque, NM, at the 37th Annual Meeting of the American Neuropsychiatric Association (ANPA)—a premier gathering of clinicians, educators, and scientists at the forefront of behavioral neurology & neuropsychiatry (BNNP), neuropsychology, and the clinical neurosciences.
This distinguished meeting serves as a dynamic forum for showcasing cutting-edge research, advancing clinical practice, and fostering meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration—all in support of ANPA’s mission to improve the lives of individuals with disorders at the intersection of psychiatry and neurology.
Why submit your work?
Elevate Your Impact
Present your research to a highly engaged audience of experts and peers dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and clinical excellence.
Build Your Reputation
Gain recognition for your contributions and strengthen your presence within the BNNP and the broader clinical neuroscience community.
Connect & Collaborate
Engage with leading clinicians and investigators, spark new ideas, and form collaborations that extend well beyond the meeting.
Stay at the Leading Edge
Immerse yourself in the latest breakthroughs and innovations shaping the future of our field.
Publish Your Research
Accepted abstracts are peer-reviewed and published in The Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, ANPA’s official journal and a leading publication in the field.
Submit Your Abstract
The submission process is simple—begin here:
If this is your first abstracts submission to ANPA using Oxford Abstracts, you will need to create an account. The deadline for abstract submissions is October 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time).
Please note: Late submissions cannot be accepted.
Abstract Formats
Submissions describing neuropsychiatric research or case reports are welcome. Research submissions may include works representing the scholarship of discovery, integration, application, and teaching, whether completed or in development. All abstracts must adhere to the required structure for the type of work they represent and must adhere to the 250 word limit. Abstracts not adhering to these guidelines will be returned unreviewed to the corresponding author for revision and resubmission.
Keys to Successful Abstract Submission
Abstracts are accepted for consideration by ANPA and the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences (JNCN) with the understanding that each submitted work adhere to ALL of the bullet points below:
- Submissions take place through Oxford Abstracts platform only. Abstracts may not be submitted on the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences ScholarOne platform or by email to the ANPA Office.
- The abstract is EITHER:
- original material that has not been published previously and is not being considered for publication elsewhere; OR
- an “Encore Abstract” (i.e., an abtract previously presented or published elsewhere) which the submitting author(s) has approval from the copyright holder to the abstract (i.e., the journal or publisher of the conference proceedings in which was published, if transfer to that journal or publisher was made at the time of publication) or if the journal in which it was published previously does not have a policy that precludes its publication elsewhere.
- original material that has not been published previously and is not being considered for publication elsewhere; OR
- All abstracts must have been approved for submission by each author listed on the abstract.
- Submission of an abstract reflects a commitment on the part of the authors to present the abstract at the annual meeting of ANPA. Accepted abstracts must be presented in person at the ANPA annual meeting by an author of the work. Abstracts that are not presented in person by one of the abstract authors will not be published in the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences.
Abstract Formatting Guidelines
Abstract submissions must adhere to the formatting guidelines stated here. Those not adhering to the guidelines provided in the General Format Guidelines (below) and the structure relevant to the type of abstract submitted (i.e., Research Report or Clinical Case Report) will be returned unreviewed to the corresponding author for revision and resubmission.
- Abstracts must be submitted in the fields provided in Oxford Abstracts.
- List the title at the top of the abstract and in the following format: The First Letter of Each Word is Capitalized, Except for the First Letter of Mid-Sentence Determiners, Prepositions, and Conjunctions.
- List author name(s) only in the author fields specifically for such provided in Oxford Abstracts – do not include them in the space intended for the title or the body of the abstract.
- Provide author affiliation(s) only in the author fields specifically for such provided in Oxford Abstracts – do not include them in the space intended for the title or the body of the abstract.
- The body of the abstract is limited to 250 words (i.e., not including title and authors, which are not part of the body of the abstract).
- Scientific words can be entered in mixed case (e.g., fMRI).
- Do not include references in the abstract (i.e., do not include in-text citations or a bibliography/reference list).
- Do not include tables, figures, and videos in the abstract or with the abstract submission.
- Do not include keywords in your submission.
