I am an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at HMS and a senior faculty at MGH with leadership positions directing the Neuropsychiatry Clinics and Education spanning all levels of medical and cross-disciplinary training (medical students to faculty, PhD neuroscientists, nurses, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation specialists, social workers, and midlevel healthcare workers) locally, nationally, and internationally. I have mentored hundreds of trainees over the years. Currently, I also serve as the Medical Director and Clinical Trials Liaison for the prestigious McCance Center for Brain Health. Over the years, I have built services that manage complex cases spanning Neurology, Psychiatry, and Medicine with a culturally competent lens in the Americas as well as in the Middle East (Lebanon), Africa (Somaliland, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Sierra Leone). In addition, I covered consultancy roles for government entities, global NGOs, and international academic centers. In my area of clinical expertise, I place an emphasis on Early Onset Dementia (EOD) and continue to see complex cases referred from all corners of the globe for evaluation and treatment. Treating sick patients affirmed by belief that prevention is the way forward and that brain health should be first and foremost preventative and protective. I am regularly invited as a guest expert on all aspects covering neurodegenerative diseases and the correlation between neuro-inflammation and dementia while championing the mitigating effects of optimal brain care and pushing the frontiers of brain health and prevention. I have over 200 publications in the domains of brain prevention, neuropsychiatry, curricula development, capacity building and public health. I look forward to connecting with you and your team to advance the field and attend to the needs of populations worldwide.
